Our Philosophy of Care

At Abbey Village we aim to meet the long & short term care needs of our service users in a relaxed, homely environment. We offer innovative choices and alternatives to standard care, meeting the changing needs of our service users and their community.

Our service users are at the centre of all our activities, with customer care being our main focus. Working alongside health professionals, service users and their families are fully involved in the planning, monitoring & review of care - ensuring the individual physical, social and emotional needs of our service users are met.

Meeting Your Needs

We individually assess every service user, creating a personalised care plan which is monitored on an ongoing basis. In addition to this, we provide the following services to our service users:

  • Key Workers - each of our service users has a Key Worker who works closely with them, befriending them and communicating with their next of kin to ensure the service user is thoroughly enjoying the services they receive.
  • Courtesy Mobility Scooters - We have two Mobility Scooters that our service users are free to use, either for driving around the grounds, or to access the nearby shops & amenities Brigg has to offer.
  • Health Practicioners - Service Users may choose to retain their own GP, or alternately join our local surgery. GP's and various other health professionals regularly visit Abbey Village, as well as being on call 24 hours a day.
  • Your Health Records - Service Users and their next of kin have full access to their health records, which are managed in accordance with our strict confidentiality policy for your safety and security.

Our Staff

 Abbey Vilage is staffed 24 hours a day by a team of professionally trained care staff. We also have a full team of housekeeping, maintenance & kitchen staff. We employ a dedicaed full-time acivities & events co-ordinator, ensuring residents have plenty of activities and interesting things to do throughout their time at Abbey Village.
