Abbey Village Ltd is committed to eliminating discrimination and encouraging diversity amongst our staff members. Abbey Village Ltd utilizes the legislation and principles covered by the Equality Act 2010, to support our aim in providing an inclusive environment to both services users and our staff members. To that end the purpose of this policy is to provide equality and fairness for all in our employment, and to whom we provide a service. This means Abbey Village Ltd do not discriminate because of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, ethnic origin, colour, nationality, national origin, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation, or any other individual characteristic.

This policy is fully supported by senior management and has been agreed with employee representatives.

The policy will be monitored and reviewed annually. Abbey Village Ltd complaints procedure will be enacted if an allegation is made that an individual’s rights, under the Equality Act 2010, or this policy are not being met.
